THE MOVING MAP!

This grade 3-5 multi-age teacher created an activity where students are learning the location of states by walking to where they would be in the room.

Her class includes two students with cognitive impairments, one with an emotional disturbance, and two students with learning disabilities.

Note how this lessons uses multiple intelligences and builds connections with the students as they interact about in doing this lesson.
