GETTING TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER

A social scavenger hunt!

Students are throwing paper at one another! And the teacher is telling them to!

This is a fun activity to help students get to know one another in a fun way. The teacher leads the students in putting information about themselves on a sheet of paper. They then crumple it up and, with careful directions by the teacher, the whole class throws the papers at one another in a wild snowstorm of white.

Students get one piece of paper then go around the room to find the student to whom the information belongs.

This activity involves multiple intelligences, allows students to move around and do an activity normally forbidden under gentle guidelines.

Activities like these help students who need to move have an outlet and provides new ways of processing cognitive and social information.
